We love gently used hardcover books that are less than 5 years old.  If they are paperback books you might consider donating them to your student's classroom teacher, a shelter, children's group home, or a second hand store.  All books will be assessed according to the criteria of the Wilson County Board of Education policies and the current TN state law.  Contact the librarian with any questions,

If your student's book is damaged beyond repair you will be asked to pay the replacement cost of the book or purchase a hardcover replacement copy (unless your child's book was a paperback to begin with).  Talk to the librarian for specifics about the price of your student's book.

If the book gets wet you can fan it open in the sun or in front of an oprn window ot fan to let it dry.  If it is caught quickly enough we can often save the book.  If there is any sign of mold, mildew or a smell the book must be replaced.

If a book page tears instruct your studen to return the book to the library and we can usually fix it with book tape or glue.

Help your kids save your bank account and a book by teaching them how to screw their water bottle lids on tightly!

3. Listen to them read to you.
4. Read every single day - start at whatever level is most comfortable. Just start.
5. Let them see you reading for enjoyment as well as for information.

• Keep your chromebook in your school provided case at all times.

• Charge your chromebook each night at home in a safe place.

• Bring your charger to school each day in your chromebook case.

• Clean your hands before using your chromebook - see the librarian to clean your chromebook screen.

• Only use your chromebook for school approved activities and assignments.

• Let the librarian know if anything happens to your chromebook as soon as possible.
