Taimi Reese, Principal

I am a Mt. Juliet High School graduate, which is where I met my husband, Jeremy. We have been married for 30 years. We have three amazing children; Joseph 29, Bekah 25, and Joshua 18. I also have a daughter-in-law, Kelsey, who teaches art at WCHS. Joseph and Kelsey made me a Graimi to Abby Jo a year ago in July. Our family is so excited to see her grow. I started my teaching career at WAW’s Learning Center. I taught 3rd grade, 4th grade, and Intervention before moving to Southside as an Instructional Coach and then AP. This will be my first year as Principal at West. I am so excited to join the team!

Ashley Hough,  Assistant Principal

I am excited to be the Assistant Principal at West Elementary! 

My name is Ashley Hough.  I grew up in a tiny town called Del Rio in the East Tennessee mountains.  I decided early on to be a teacher to attend East Tennessee State University, where I earned my teaching degree. 

My first teaching job was in 2nd grade.  After I moved to Middle Tennessee, I taught 1st grade for many years.  Eventually, I moved to 3rd grade ELA and Social Studies and began working on my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership.  I became an Instructional Coach and, after a couple of years, joined Wilson County as an Instructional Coach in this district.  I have been an Assistant Principal for the last three years and I am excited to join the staff at West Elementary!

I am married to my wonderful husband, Scott.  We have two cats, Winnie and Sunny.  I am a huge gardener and you will find me outside most evenings.  My main focus in the garden is bringing in pollinators, using native plants, and supporting the wildlife in the area.  We also love going to concerts and traveling in any free time we have.
