Dr. Alex Juneau, Principal

Dr. Alex Juneau holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration from Carson-Newman University, as well as Master's and Bachelor's degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Throughout her 16 years in education, Dr. Juneau has taught multiple grade levels and served in a variety of leadership roles. She was thrilled to serve the West Elementary community as Assistant Principal prior to accepting the Principal position. 
In her free time, Dr. Juneau enjoys spending time with family, hiking and exploring National Parks, traveling, reading books, and having fun with her dog, Hamilton. She is honored to have the privilege of serving West Elementary students and families.

Ms. Karissa Rogers,  Assistant Principal

Ms. Karissa Rogers is our Assistant Principal at West Elementary School. She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Tennessee State University, a Master’s degree in Special Education from Walden University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Dakota State University. As a teacher, she taught K-5 Exceptional Education for fifteen years. She spent twelve of those years teaching at West Elementary School. 

In her free time, Ms. Rogers enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, watching movies, and reading books. She is proud to be a bulldog at West Elementary School. She is dedicated to the success of our students, staff, families, and the community.
