Administration
Taimi Reese, Principal
I am thrilled and honored to continue being part of the West team. I am starting year three as Principal of West. I was a former student at West when I was in Elementary School. I am so excited to be part of this amazing school.
My Educational Journey
Teaching and leading in our community is my passion. My career in education began at WAW’s Learning Center, followed by teaching 3rd grade, 4th grade, and Academic Intervention. I later served as an Instructional Coach and Assistant Principal at Southside before stepping into my current role as Principal at West.
Roots & Family
I am a proud Mt. Juliet High School graduate, which is where I met my husband of 32 years, Jeremy. Together, we have three amazing children: Joseph (31), Bekah (27), and Joshua (20), as well as a wonderful daughter-in-law, Kelsey, who teaches art at WCHS. We are all graduates of MJHS- Bear Pride Mt. Juliet High. I am also a proud "Graimi" to sweet Abby Jo, and soon to be new granddaughter, Hartley. We are loving every moment of watching them grow!
I am so excited for an incredible school year ahead with our West students, staff, and families.
Ashley Hough, Assistant Principal

My name is Ashley Hough, and I am the Assistant Principal at West Elementary. I grew up in the small town of Del Rio, nestled in the mountains of East Tennessee. From an early age, I knew I wanted to become a teacher, which led me to attend East Tennessee State University, where I earned my degree in education.
Before moving into administration, I taught first, second, and third grade and later served as an instructional coach for several years. This year marks my third year as Assistant Principal at West Elementary, and I am grateful to be part of such an amazing school community.
My husband, Scott, and I share our home with our three cats—Winnie, Sunny, and Frank. Outside of school, I enjoy attending rock concerts, spending time outdoors, and gardening. I especially love creating pollinator-friendly gardens with native plants that support local wildlife and help our environment thrive.
I look forward to partnering with our students, families, and staff this school year. Please don't hesitate to reach out if I can help in any way!
