PUBLIC NOTICE: WCS Community Informational Meeting
The Wilson County School System will hold a Community Informational Meeting on September 12, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at MJHS in the auditorium to present a re-zoning plan. The primary rezone is for LaGuardo Elementary, which involves the West Elementary, Stoner Creek Elementary and Elzie Patton Elementary school zones. The secondary rezone proposal will be to balance student population between Mt. Juliet Middle and West Wilson Middle. There will be an opportunity for constituents to give feedback regarding the plans, which will be made available to administrative staff and the board.
The rezone proposal will be on the Sept 23, 2024 board meeting agenda. Any individual wishing to address the Board shall sign up using the Request to Appear document found on WCS website for the Sept. 23, 2024 board meeting. The document must be submitted to the Board Secretary or any Board Member at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled start of the meeting.
